Auburn Pilates is downtown Auburn’s premier boutique Pilates studio. We are a place where people come together for a workout that makes you leave feeling refreshed and stronger.

Auburn Pilates offers both private lessons and small group classes by highly trained instructors so you get the most out of your time with us.

Pilates focuses not only on increasing your core strength, but also on breathing, strengthening the entire body, increasing flexibility and improving posture. The Pilates equipment can both help a new student master an exercise and challenge a more advanced student.

Meet the Instructors

Jen Jansen

Owner + Instructor

Jen is the owner of Auburn Pilates. Jen received her comprehensive Pilates certification through Balanced Body University.

Jen was born in Auburn, CA. After graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles, she returned to Auburn. It was at this time that she discovered Pilates. She quickly fell in love with the Pilates repertoire and its ability to provide an incredible workout for almost anyone. Jen works to create a challenging workout that will help her clients feel and move better every day.

Sarah Paltridge


Sarah received her comprehensive Pilates certification from Power Pilates in the classical Pilates method. Additionally, she is extensively trained in ballet and is a certified TRX instructor.

Sarah loves Pilates as a practice that brings health to the body, improves posture, brings greater mindfulness and strengthens the core. She enjoys working with adults of all ages, teens and children. She finds satisfaction helping her clients get stronger, increase their flexibility and reduce or eliminate pain.


Are your instructors certified? Yes! Our instructors are highly trained and have completed a comprehensive certification program.

Do I need a reservation for classes? Because we limit the group class to five people, we do require reservations for classes. Please call us at 530.823.7800 or email us at info@auburnpilates.com to schedule a class.

How long are classes? Each class is 55 minutes long.

What should I wear to class? Wear comfortable clothes that will allow you to move easily during your workout. We also ask that you bring a pair of socks to wear for some of the exercises.

What equipment will I use during my Pilates class? We vary the classes each week and incorporate one or a combination of the following Pilates equipment. All of our Pilates equipment is by Balanced Body.

  • Ladder Barrel

I am new to Pilates, can I jump right into a group class? We like to meet privately with each student the first time they come to the studio so we can get to know their goals and any current injuries or health issues they may be dealing with. Please call or email the studio today to schedule your free introductory class.

After this initial class, we require students who are new to Pilates to have at least three private sessions before entering a group class. In these private sessions you will learn more about using the Pilates equipment and some of the fundamental exercises so you get the most out of your group class.

What is your cancellation policy?  If you cannot make your regularly scheduled class, please call or email and we would be happy to find a time for you to reschedule. We have a 24 hour cancellation on both group classes and private sessions. Late cancellations will not be rescheduled.
